How to keep it working
A FarEasTone prepaid (易付卡) number is valid for 180 days from set-up, and for six months from each top-up after that. A number topped up before its end date is kept for good; one that is not topped up in time lapses automatically and is taken back. FarEasTone sends expiry reminders and asks you to top up within 3 days of one. Unused balance (not purchased data or bonuses) can be moved to another FarEasTone number you hold, or is handled case by case if you have none, such as a transfer to someone else's number or a refund; six months after expiry FarEasTone may charge a custody fee on what is left. Auto top-up, set up on its website or app and charged to a FarEasTone postpaid line or your own card, tops up when validity falls under 25 days (for voice, also when the balance is under NT$50). The balance is capped at NT$5,000, and FarEasTone says these cards are for use in Taiwan only.
