How to keep the number

China Telecom's suspend-and-keep service (手机停机) holds the number while the line is switched off. Under Guangdong's terms, a single-phone line pays 5 yuan a month from the month after suspension, while a line in an e-home (e家) package pays the package fee and no keep fee. The balance must cover the fee: if it goes unpaid for three months, a late fee of 0.3% of the amount owed accrues each day, and if it is still unpaid after 60 days of late fees the number is cancelled. Resuming costs nothing. It is requested through the online hall (a customer password is needed), the 10000 hotline or a branch with ID, and takes effect within 3 hours.
