Where it works

Only the markets where the carrier's own pages say the SIM receives texts or uses data are listed. A market that is missing is one the carrier does not say it works in.

How to keep it working

Airalo's packages are built around data: only some, such as the Discover+ global eSIMs, include calls and texts. Keep your own SIM active for codes and set it as the default voice and SMS line while the Airalo eSIM carries data. For most packages the validity period starts when the eSIM first connects to a supported network, but check the package's Validity Policy before you install. Validity cannot be extended; if you run short of data you can buy a top-up package for the same eSIM. Airalo has country pages for the US, Japan, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, each with unlimited-data packages.
