What keeps points alive
Miles earned on or after 1 July 2008 are valid for 10 years (120 months) and run to the end of the tenth year (miles earned in 2009 expired at 00:00 on 1 January 2020, Korean time); miles earned up to 30 June 2008 never expire. Korean Air warns members of expiring miles at least twice a year from three years ahead, and a bonus ticket, valid for one year and bookable up to 361 days before departure, can use them early.
