What keeps points alive

Points earned on Citi credit cards generally do not expire, and inactivity does not clear them. The exceptions are Citibank checking points, which last three years from 31 December of the year earned, and a few retired card products with three or five. If you close a card, or Citi closes it for inactivity, use its points within 90 days or lose them; if Citi closes it for any other reason they go at once. Closing your last Citi account closes the ThankYou account and the terms say points left in it are lost, so redeem first.

These are statements from each programme's own terms on the day shown. Programmes change their rules, and promotional points often have shorter lives, so read the terms before you rely on a date.

Logos belong to their owners. They appear here only to show which programme is meant, and do not suggest that any programme or owner is connected with, or endorses, this site.
