What keeps points alive
Points expire after 18 months with no earning, redeeming, donating, transferring or converting. Expiry is paused until 30 November 2026; after that the normal rule applies, so make a qualifying transaction before then. Aeroplan Elite status, or being the primary holder of a TD, American Express or CIBC Aeroplan card, prevents expiry. Expired points are reinstated if you fly Air Canada within 6 months.
